The Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) is a landing site for travellers to Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown). There are no direct flights to Makhanda. Delgates who will be travelling to South Africa will need to book flights to Cape Town International Airport (Cape Town) or O. R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg), then take a flight to Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport.

The distance from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport to Rhodes University is approximately 130 km and approximately two and half (1 1/2) hours of driving, depending largely on traffic and road conditions.
The cost of transportation is not included in the registration fee. Participants will have to pay for transportation to and from Makhanda.

Take an Uber from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport at an average cost of R1000-R1700, one way.
Option Three – Bus
