We are grateful to the following Partners for their ongoing support to Pasmae.
Since the previous PASMAE conference in Swaziland, music faculty from European University Cyprus have expressed their interest in collaborating with The Pan African Society for Musical Arts Education (PASMAE) in order to advance music education on the continent. Such an initiative takes into consideration EUC’s international outreach, support programs and social responsibility initiatives and we are confident that it will be beneficial not only to our two institutions, but also to music educators across Africa.
The outcome of such collaboration has been that a number of PASMAE members have received financial support from EUC in order to attend a graduate program (long distance) in Music Education. That first group of African students are now in the process of completing their final thesis and are expected to graduate in the summer of 2019.
We firmly believe that such a bilateral agreement should be solidified and expanded for the mutual benefit of all involved. That’s why this year a group of members from the Symphonic Band of Strovolos Municipality-European University Cyprus have decided to attend the 2019 PASMAE conference in Seychelles and be the first ambassadors from EUC and Cyprus to attend a PASMAE conference.
