PASMAE, in partnership with the Bujumbura University and Institut de Musicologie de Gitega in Burundi, warmly invite you to participate in the 2024 PASMAE East African Sub-Regional Conference. PASMAE is the African branch of ISME (International Society for Music Education). This conference will offer both in-person and virtual attendance options. The University of Burundi (French: Université du Burundi, or UB) is a public university located in Bujumbura, Burundi. Founded in 1964, it comprises eight faculties and five institutes and has a student enrollment of approximately 13,000. It is based on three campuses in Bujumbura and a fourth in Gitega. The institution was renamed in 1977 and is Burundi’s only publicly funded university.
